Reddit & X

Reddit and X are where buying conversations happen in public: strangers asking strangers what to buy, and buyers thinking out loud in real time. Your agents need no connected account to find leads there, and every agent scans both from the moment it launches.

Connecting an account matters when you want to act on those leads from inside LeadPinger: a comment on the post, or a DM, sent from your own profile. Answers land in Engage, comment threads and DMs alike, with a reply drafted for you.

The Safety Check comes first

Platforms remove and restrict new or empty accounts that suddenly start posting, so before a Reddit or X account connects, LeadPinger reads its public profile. On Reddit it looks at comment karma, account age and recent comments; on X, posts and followers, recent activity, and the profile itself. The verdict decides whether the sign-in opens:

While an account is Not yet, your agent keeps finding leads and drafting, and you can post any draft yourself from Engage.

Connecting Reddit or X

1. 1Go to Settings, then Channels.
2. 2On the Reddit or X row, click Connect. The Safety Check comes first: enter your username or handle, and Run the check. It takes about 20 seconds on Reddit and a few seconds on X.
3. 3On Ready, click Open Reddit sign-in or Open X sign-in. On Starts slow, tick the box and click Start slowly. Sign in as the account you checked; a different account is checked again before it links.
4. 4Back on Channels, the row shows Connected and its warm-up stage. Click it, or Manage, to open the account's page.

The Reddit connection is an official Reddit authorization tied to your own account, and you can revoke it any time from either side. Everything sends as you, from your own profile.

What leads look like from each

• Reddit leads arrive as u/username with the community they posted in, the full post, and its engagement. Comments your campaign sends appear under the post from your account, and when someone answers, the reply lands back in Engage with a follow-up drafted for you. See Reddit Leads.
• X leads arrive as @handle with the post and its engagement, and support comments and DMs once your account is connected. See X Leads.

The warm-up ladder applies here too

Reddit and X climb the same warm-up ladder as LinkedIn: 3 comments and 3 DMs a week at stage 1, one more of each per clean week up to 7 at stage 5, and your own numbers up to 14 once Unlocked. Each week is spread across the days, and a problem, like a comment removed by Reddit's spam filter or hidden from the public, moves the account back a stage and pauses it. Moderator removals never count. Details in Sending Limits & Account Safety.
