Approving Drafts & Campaign Modes
Each campaign's mode decides what waits for you and what goes out on its own: Handoff, Assisted or Autopilot. The choice lives with the campaign, not in a workspace switch.
LeadPinger drafts every comment, DM, reply and connection note for you. Whether a draft waits for you or goes out on its own is decided by the modeof the campaign it belongs to. You pick the mode on the campaign's Goal & mode step, under How this campaign runs. It is required, there is no default, and you can change it any time. There is no workspace-wide auto-approve switch.
The three modes
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Handoff | Your agent finds the moments and writes every message. You post each one yourself, from Engage. |
| Assisted | Your agent writes and sends. Every message goes out only after you approve it in Engage. |
| Autopilot | Your agent runs the whole conversation toward the campaign's goal and reports back. Hostile and sensitive replies always wait for you. |
The mode covers every platform the campaign speaks on, first messages and replies alike. Under the picker, one line per platform says what will actually happen with your accounts right now, such as "Sends after your approval, up to 3 comments and 3 DMs a week". The mode is the campaign's intent; each account's warm-up ladder is its permission.
Approving and posting
On Assisted, drafts wait in Engageand on the lead's Outreach tab. Approval is deliberately light: read, maybe edit, and Approve and send. An approved message goes out right away, inside the account's weekly allowance. On Handoff, the same drafts come with Copy and I posted this: you post them on the platform yourself, and those never count toward the ladder.
Choosing a mode
- Start with Assisted. Read what the campaign writes for a week before you let it run. Hear it first, on the campaign, shows you a real draft before anything goes out.
- Voice first. Autopilot amplifies whatever the campaign's voice produces. Tune the voice before the volume.
- Watch the outcome, not the queue. The Insights outreach panel shows reply rates; if they dip after a campaign moves to Autopilot, move it back.
What no mode overrides
- The warm-up ladder: every send, approved by you or sent on Autopilot, counts toward the account's weekly allowance, and automated sends wait for its sending hours.
- The do-not-contact list: people, companies and domains on it are never contacted, by automation or by hand.
- Never say: a draft that still breaks one of your company's phrases after a rewrite is held for your review and never goes out on its own.
- Pause sending on an account, and the emergency stop at the top of Settings, Channels, which halts every account in the workspace at once while drafts keep queuing.
