Negative Keywords & Filters
Everything on the targeting step that narrows the hunt: languages, keywords to ignore, intent types, post filters, and watching specific LinkedIn accounts.
Keywords decide what your agent notices. The rest of the targeting step decides what it ignores, which is just as important: every irrelevant match your agent has to read is time not spent on a real one.
Languages
The languages your buyers write in. Your agent only finds posts in these languages, on Reddit, X and LinkedIn alike, and every reply it drafts goes out in the language the person wrote in: a French post gets a French reply, an English post an English one. Pick several if your market is bilingual. A firm in Montreal can set English and French on one agent instead of running two.
The order matters in one case: when a post mixes two languages about equally, the first language on your list decides the reply. Posts too short to tell are kept, never skipped, and new agents start from the language of your website. A campaign with its own language set still writes in that language.
Keywords to ignore
Posts containing any of these are skipped outright. Use them to carve away a neighboring market that shares your vocabulary: "hiring", "job", "course", "internship" are common first adds. Each agent can ignore up to 25 phrases, and they never count against your plan's keyword pool.
Intent types
Eight kinds of buying signal, each on its own toggle. Turn off the ones that never convert for you:
| Intent type | What it catches |
|---|---|
| Seeking a Solution | Actively looking for a tool or service |
| Looking for Alternatives | Wants to switch from a competitor |
| Comparison | Weighing multiple options |
| Explorer | Researching opinions and workflows |
| Troubleshooting | Struggling with a current solution |
| Venting Frustration | Complaining about a problem |
| Job Change | Recently started a new role or company (LinkedIn only) |
| Hiring / Outsourcing Intent | Looking to hire or outsource a service |
Date and engagement filters
For Reddit and X you can restrict matches by post age (1 to 7 days) and by minimum likes and comments. The counterintuitive advice: keep the engagement minimums low. Fresh posts usually have little engagement yet, and they are exactly the ones where a reply gets read and answered. High minimums select for posts whose moment has passed.
Who to watch on LinkedIn
Beyond keywords, an agent can watch up to 25 specific LinkedIn company pages or person profiles. The people who engage with a watched account, commenting, reacting, become leads themselves, filtered against your ideal customer profile. Watching a competitor turns their audience into your pipeline; watching an industry voice turns their comment section into a prospect list. Watched targets never consume plan keywords.
Two checkboxes extend watching into company events: Track hiring at watched companies and Track funding rounds at watched companies. Those events land in your Watchlist.
Routing leads to a list
Optionally, send everything an agent finds into a named list ("Top accounts", "Reddit"), while all leads stay browsable together in the main queue. Useful when different teammates own different angles.
